Artist's Description
The Old Rectory at St. Juliot, now a B&B was once the place where a young architect by the name of Thomas Hardy lived and worked for many years. His room was the curtained window to the right. Here he met and fell in love with Emma Lavinia Gifford, the young sister-in-law of Rev. C. Holder of this parish.
