Description
The costumes of Provence during La Bravade are festive to say the least. The different aspects of “La Bravade” are indeed some of the best ways of keeping the traditions of Provence alive. The procession of the Saints, the fife and drums, music, language, provincial costumes, traditional dance, blunder busts and muskets are all amazing parts of this experience. Along with Church, the Provencal Players remain true in their faith and preserving this art. I applaud them for their dedication and for sharing their history and traditions with us.

These wonderful images have prompted me to look up more about Provence. Love the traditional dress, and the way you have captured it.
Lainie Wrightson replied:
Pat, so happy to hear these images have prompted your inquisitiveness. There is a whole history on just the fabrics alone .... not to mention the song, dance, language, etc. Wonderful traditions for sure :~)
