Description
Luckily the cheese shop was closed .... which lead to a more detailed exploration of the small village of Epoisses in France. Winding through the tiny alleys while waiting for the shop to open was indeed fruitful. My eyes were thrilled by this extraordinary art on an exterior wall and what was once a well, at the back shuttered window of a village house. Each nuance of the old cement was skillfully used and tinted to best advantage to create these wonderful faces. As one door was closed another delightfully opened :~)
