Description
This blue door is magically entwined by the lush grapevine. I decided the charm of the drain pipe added to the rustic exterior of this Provence home.

Hi Lainie; I must have missed this wonderful masterpiece perusing through your portfolio a while back. This is VERY impressive. The composition is wonderful; the framing is AWESOME; color capture is superb; textures are wonderful, and the entire scene is very inviting. This image has so much character and appeal and is a definite collection to my list of favorites.
Lainie Wrightson replied:
Hany, thank you soooooooo much. I am really happy you have been enjoying these door and window images. I love finding them :~)

Beautiful colors set in a perfectly balanced composition. This is a magical, timeless photo-art image. It could be a building from Atlantis, Minoa, or any of the long gone mythical Empires.
Christine Burdine
What a perfectly typical but perfectly Provence capture. Takes you right back there with just a glance! wow
Lainie Wrightson replied:
Christine, thanks for your lovely comment and also for the feature in Wine Growing Pouring Enjoying ...

I have just discovered your site, Lainie, and I smiled when I saw Perry's question above because my comment is that I have enjoyed all your photos which I have viewed so far, and PARTICULARLY the doors! I love France, especially Provence, and I also particularly enjoyed all your Provence photos.

Wonderful capture of the faded blue door. The vine almost looks like a question mark making me wonder what is behind the door. The texture of the wall adds even more character.
Perry Webster
Great capture Lainie, What is it about doors? great subject.
Lainie Wrightson replied:
Perry, doors are a great subject and have always held my interest. When my kids were younger they used to say "oh no not another door!". Somehow they suffered through it and I still am mesmerized by a cool looking door or window. Thanks for your comment.
